How can I see how many packets psad has processed?

Run “psad –Status” (as root). The output will contain a breakdown of how many tcp, udp, and icmp packets psad has processed since psad was started. Note that not all packets logged by iptables are necessarily part of a scan and so the total number of packets displayed in the “Global packet counters” section of the status output may be more than the sum of packets associated with individual scans.
