You can have Dell dispose of it for you, they dump the hard drive and then get rid of the computer. Or you can take it to a computer store and have them dump al; the files off of the computer.

Destroy your hard drive, (torch, smash, hammer) and donate the rest of your computer to charity. They can still benifit without getting your passwords…

Why don’t you try formatting. I represent a local Rotaract here in Nepal. If you want, you can donate the computer to our club and we will give it to a local school so that students can learn computer using it. Our club is need of a laptop. remove the hard drive open it and destroy the magnetic discs. traces can be brought out after erasings to get old information, so destroy anything holding information of yours like your hard drives then you can resell it for parts or simply give it to computer repair shop without worry.

take out the memory board inside of the computer and burn it, or smash it. but what ever you do make sure to take out the memory board inside your computer.
