Using Boot Mode “Recreate Directory Service” a restore of the “System State” occurs. To prevent overwriting other ADS directories you must use the ntdsutil tool, to restore the sub-tree or sub-directory. Set the switch “authoritative” to prevent overwrite. Example Sub-Tree Marketing Anitpodes.
