How can I reset the root password for XBox-Linux?
The box is a 1.6 xbox that was software modified to run linux (now loaded on hard drive). It has Xebian (2.4.22 kernel). The box was modified a year ago, but not used for some 10 months — mostly because it was suffering from the reboot problem on clock reset for not having been plugged in. Any tips would be appreciated. Try booting the install cd (live cd), mounting your install, running chroot on the directory you’ve mounted it to, and then running passwd to set a new password.
