How can I report violence against a child in Scotland?
So a father is disciplining his child and immediately it’s ‘violence’ and you want to report him. Well, I’M SORRY, but it’s all these do-gooders who have tried to stop parents dealing with the children in a manner they will understand that has created this “We’ll do as we like and you can’t stop us” mentality in our children which has led to all the knife and gun crime of which we now see so much, so instead of thinking “Nice to see a father bringing his kids up properly and smacking them when they do wrong TO SHOW THEM they’ve done wrong” you want this man punished IN LAW. Did you, by the way, ever stop to think what the child had just done which deserved such a public action from the father? NO – you’ve already said you don’t know them, so how about asking at one of their neighbours houses if you’re so concerned and see if it’s a regular occurrence. If so, then by all means report it to the Scottish Children’s Society, and if not, just leave it. It’s little or nothing to do with you
