DB2 is a relational database management system designed by IBM which is used, to store and manage data from different-different application and databases. It is a server enterprise edition used which can run on Linux, UNIX or in Window based systems. Since it stores very important personal or business data its security and consistency is must. In order to maintain the consistency and accuracy many algorithm are incorporated into DB2 which periodically checks the integrity and privacy of the data but due to any abnormal condition or situations the data stored in it becomes inconsistent and data gets damaged or corrupted which results in loss or missing of precious data. IBM itself has provided many utilities and tools to repair the inconsistencies or damage of data which may caused due to any software or hardware failures, abnormal termination of server computer etc. but at the end of the day you will find those utilities very hard to run and operate.
