How can I repair flush in a Thetford cassette toilet?
When using our van for the first time, my grandson flushed the toilet continually (unknown to his dad) until the bowl was overflowing. When my son phoned to say the toilet was overflowing I told him how to empty the cassette, which he said resulted in the liquid in the bowl pouring down into the compartment which houses the cassette. We now find that the push down flush does not work. On reading the documentation, it states that you should never do this, but empty the overflow in the bowl by opening the lid which takes the blue flush fluid. The surplus water will flow out from there, allowing you to empty the cassette as normal. My question is does anyone know what I can do to repair the electric flush. It does not seem to be the fuse. Is there an electric pump that might have burned out, and can it be replaced. Or do you know of a repairman local to St Andrews where the van is sited. Hope someone can help me.
