How can I remove spilled gas on an asphalt driveway?

You cannot remove the stain as gas becomes part of the asphalt as they are both petroleum based products. The stain is darker than the surrounding asphalt. You can try to bleach some of that out but remember this spot area is already soaked in. Try some oil absorbtion powder available from auto parts stores. Next time you re-coat asphalt (if you do this), it should help hide the stain.
