How can I reinstall Internet Explorer on WinXP?
You might need to reinstall Internet Explorer due to file corruption or other problems that may compromise the browser’s stability. However, because Internet Explorer is an integral part of the WinXP operating system, reinstalling or repairing Internet Explorer isn’t easy. The simplest method for repairing or reinstalling IE is to use the System File Checker tool included with WinXP to scan all of the protected files (which includes core Internet Explorer files) on your computer. Click the Start button and select Run. Type sfc /scannow and click OK. (Ensure you have your WinXP CD handy because this may prompt you for it.)
