You will NOT want to do this. Even though I personally hate Internet Explorer in every possible way (FireFox is better, faster and more secure and Internet Explorer took alot of ideas from them), 7 is more secure than 6. Also, on the release of Internet Explorer 8 (beta already out) they will stop supporting Internet Explorer 6 so you’ll be left in the dark with all the glitches and new exploits that can harm your computer.
