How can I redirect a mailbox to another user using Exchange server?
This varies depending on which version of Exchange you are using. For Exchange 5.x do the following: • Run the Exchange Administration program. • Under the recipients container locate the mailbox you want to redirect and double click it. • Click on the Delivery Options tab and in the ‘alternative recipient’ box click on Modify. • Select the alternative user and click on OK. • If you want the original recipient to receive the email as well as the new alternative, tick the box labelled “deliver messages to both recipient and alternative recipient”. • Click on OK. For Exchange 2000 do the following: • From the control panel, launch Active directory users and computers. • Double click on the user you want to redirect. • Select the Exchange General tab. • Click on Delivery Options. • In the box labelled ‘Forwarding Address’ click on Forward To and click on Modify. • Select the alternative recipient and click on OK. • If you want the original recipient to receive the email as well as the new
