How can i recover files that have been deleted from a computer?
Having just deleted a file that you wish to recover, the more that you use the computer, the more likely it is that the file that you wish to recover will have been overwritten, as new files are created all the time when you are using your computer. One undelete program that does work (I’ve used it to solve the same problem as you have), which you would have to install first to use and therefore increase the chance of not being able to recover the file, is recuva. (It’s freeware) If you have another drive that you can install it on, rather than the drive that the undeleted file is on, install it on there. (Such as a USB stick) Save any files which can be ‘recovered’ to this second drive. Also, don’t keep on surfing the web looking for answers to your ‘file recovery problem’, as all of the cached files from web-browsing will be written to your hard drive, increasing the chance that the file that you want to recover will be overwritten.
