Once again, you should know that performance parts are not the same thing as sequencer tracks. There are 16 parts and each has a patch assigned to it. There are 16 tracks in the sequencer and any of them can contain performance data from any of the 16 parts or even all 16 in one track. Other thing to know is that if you record a drum part on different tracks, you can’t change the level of the tracks independently – you still have one part in performance that plays these tracks. In order to change levels (and other parameters like fx sends) for each drum sound, you need to hits EDIT and work with the drum kit editor. So, if you want to record your drums on different tracks using a single drum kit – for example that one on pads, part 10 default – you have to do the following: • Go to MIXER and choose part 10 • Hit [record], select track 1 (instead of “AUTO (TRK 10)”).
