How can I recognize a spherical cultured pearl that it is real or synthetic?
Ans. It is true that lots of synthetic pearls are available in the market which is sold in the name of cultured pearls. But such pearls can be easily identified, 1) if you keep a cultured pearl between your teeth, it will give your a feeling of metal hardness. 2) and if you touch the cultured pearls at the back of your palm, it will be cold similarly as a marble stone. 3) if you examine the drill of a pearl of a synthetic pearls’ string, you can see the synthetic layers like enamel over a white bead.
