How can I re-instate a Re-Instatable Clearance?
We were informed that only a new employer that has a job that requires you to access classified information can reinstate your clearance. We have been informed that Clearances are typically only re-instatable for up to 2 years from the date of last use and then they become Expired. When one has a Re-Instatable Clearance (that was last used within less than 2 years), we were told that a Job Seeker can work with the new prospective employers Secure Facilities Officer to fill out paperwork to transfer or re-instate the clearance with the new employer (We are told the transfer or reinstatement can usually take place within just a few weeks [when one is within 2 years of their date of last use of their clearance], but that complications or back-ups can delay the clearance transfer or re-instatement). Good news: www.ClearedCandidates.com does allow candidates with a Re-instatable clearance to post thier resume and designate thier clearance in the clearance menu if they believe it can quickly
