How can I purchase software to be used for work purposes at home?
The Home Use Program allows employees to purchase a licensed copy of select Microsoft Office desktop program (including office, Project, Visio and Front Page). Keep in mind the 80-20 rule applies. If you have installed on your Fermi machine, Microsoft Office and you need to do some work at home (the rule applies if the machine is Fermi owned or personal machine), you may purchase the same application using the HUP Program to run office on your machine at home (personal or Fermi owned). Keep in mind if the machine at your house will be utilized more than 20% of the time, for example if you are working 2 days from home and 2 days at Fermilab, then the home machine is a primary machine so a full license must be purchased.
