How can I properly make a figure with clay without it breaking in oven?

There are reasons that have to do with the techniques used for joining the parts, and reasons that have to do with the specific brand/line of polymer clay being used (and you were using a problematic one–see below**). You can read all about the ways of making good joins with polymer clay on this page of my site (including sometimes using “adhesives,” wider areas, armatures, waiting overnight, etc.): http://glassattic.com/polymer/glues-Dilu… …click on SOME BONDING TECHNIQUES You’ll also want to make sure you’re curing the clay at the right temp and for sufficient time to make it cure all the way to the center since insufficiently-cured clay can also be weak in various ways: http://glassattic.com/polymer/baking.htm And of course, the raw
