How can i prevent Xbox 360 red rings of death?

I have read into it and the “red rings of death” indicate a hardware error in the console. Technically, the xbox gets over heated to the point where the solder on the heat sink softens and the connection between the heat sink and the CPU becomes loose. The disconnection then doesn’t allow the heat to be dispersed into the case, so the heat sensor goes nuts. Presto… “red rings of death.” So in other words, it gets really, really hot. The best way to prevent the “red rings of death” then would be to make sure that the xbox has plenty of ventilation, and possibly buy the add-on fan for it. Just make sure that nothing is blocking the exhaust fans in the back. But if you do get the “red rings of death” DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH TOWELS!!! The “towel trick” basically just overheats the console so much that it tricks the heat sensor on the motherboard into thinking it is cool, amplifying the problem.
