How can I prevent or correct Duplicate DCN rejections?
If you transmit an Individual e-file with a DCN that has already been transmitted to ATX, that e-file shows a status of Duplicate in the Status column of the E-file Manager. You can correct it by setting the DCN counter number to one number higher than the number of your last successfully transmitted e-file, duplicating the return in question, and then creating a new e-file from the duplicate return.
