This will help reduce your energy costs as well as help prevent freeze ups. Don’t forget to keep it in a location that your animals can easily access. • In order to keep the water moving in the unit, there must be a minimum number of animals drinking from the waterer. The number of animals depends on the size of the waterer. Remember that the animals that drink from the waterer triggers the valve to allow water exchange. • Clean and maintain your unit regularly. Drippings from the animals’ mouths can cause ice build-up. • Use an insulated earth tube.
