How can I prevent a rash appearing on my neck every time I shave?

I know that’s a boring thing. 1- If the rash is appearing immediately after shaving, it’s most likely to be due to the shaving in a direction opposit to the direction of hairs, i.e. upward in the neck. 2- If the rash is appearing after a while, it could be due to having allergy to the shaving foam or jell or after shave spray or jell. My advices to you as a physician are: 1- Wash your neck properly prior to shaving 2- Not to shave in upward direction for a period of time about one month, i know you may hesitate on this, but it’s important not to do it for one month to put your skin at rest. 3- Try to change the shaving foam or jell with another. 4- Use a purfume in stead of after shave jells, if you have no allergy to the perfume. 5- If you can, try not to shave excessively and every day, it’s better to shave once each 4 days. I hope you will have no prablem.
