How can I prevent a GFCI plug of false triggering due to inductive load?
I have an aquarium setup and I great pump hooked. I installed a GFCI power outlet for safety reasons, but every time I turn off pump, making the GFCI trips. I think this is because the pump acts as an inducer and after I switch off the circuit on making sense of energy as unbalanced and travel. Help please! Recepticles GFI are not the best for engine loads. A GFI breaker would be better. But this requires the circuit to concentrate on his own over neutral. Although I have seen pumps regular GFI recep. this work. Maybe you got a GFI false. I was treated to several who were on the wrong box. I hate these things anyway.
