How can I prepare physically for my singing audition?

Right before you sing, even throughout the day, don’t have dairy products (apart from maybe butter, if you have it in a sandwich or something), sweets or cold drinks because they can all clog up your airways and make your voice sound croaky. I suggest drinking lukewarm drinks. If you have a old one, leave it out for a bit or warm the bottle in your hands. By all means, stay away from chocolate! Just for the day at least. It’s the worst food to eat for a singer. Don’t eat so much that you feel bloated. That won’t help your singing at all. Try not to talk too much, or scream etc. That will strain your voice and make your voice when singing sound forced, because the nerves in your throat tighten more during the day when you overtalk or strain your voice. The night before, get enough rest. Trying to sing when you are physically exhausted is a bad mix. Trust me I’ve tried it LOL! Breathe gently and calm yourself before your audition.
