A lot will depend on your grandson’s age and a willingness to participate, here is how I potty trained my son at 17 months old sucessfully. I spent 3 days solid with him, no distractions. I put him in underwear and rubberpants. I bought a cheap $1.00 doll that wets when you give it a bottle. I wore an apron with treats in the pockets so they were available at all times. First you allow the child to eat salty snacks like potato chips which will make them very thirsty. Then you let them drink koolaid or something else that is a real treat. You play with the doll in the bathroom and give her her bottle with the koolaid in it, when it is time for the doll to go potty hold her over the potty and watch her go “pee pee” in the potty. User terms “like mommy and daddy do”, “what a big boy/girl”, and then give the doll special treat, I used m&m’s. So the doll is offered the M & M but because she is “full” you offer the M&M to the child and then tell them if they go in the big potty then they can
