How Can I Potty Train My Dog without going outside and without using tissues/newspapers?
Dogs NEED fresh air. As another answerer said, how would you feel if all you had was this giant cage you call a house (or apartment). You’d go crazy, especially if the only thing you interacted with was an animal of another species all day long (even if you loved them). That being said, you can litterbox train a dog. I am a petsitter and had a dog that was potty trained (her owner used recycled newspaper litter–sometimes sold as small animal bedding–or “feline pine” litter, or “swheat scoop” litter, all better than clay litters, typically, and the newspaper was all recycled). However, that dog ALSO went for a walk at least once a day, it was just for exercise and sanity. It also gets you out and walking and having some time just spent on you and the dog. A problem that may come up unless you are vigilently consistent, especially with a male dog, is that once he learns it’s OK to go in one section of the house, why not the whole thing? If I can pee in this box, why not pee on that cha
