How can i post/ ship a gold jewelery to Australia?
The previous poster/answerer says it is illegal…. No it is not… The following page lists prohibited and restricted imported goods, and you will see gold is not on the list. http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page.cfm?… Gold, jewelery, gem stones and other similar items are permitted, however, if it is a gift, the receiver will have to pay import duty if over the maximum duty free allowance, which I believe is $400. If it is not a gift, your receiver will have to pay the full duty payable. To get an accurate answer, don’t expect that to be given to you here in yahoo answers. Too many misleading arm chair experts throw their 2 cents worth in.
