How can I play .avi files from Blizzard games?

Videos belonging to games from Blizzard Entertainment contain DivX video, but with a different FourCC, namely BLZ0. To play such videos you need to use ffdshow for decoding DivX video. Go to ffdshow Video decoder configuration. On the Codecs page set DivX 4/5/6 to libavcodec. The regular DivX decoder won’t work unless you manually change the FourCC.
