How can I order crystals for my Hamtronics exciter and receiver?
Crystals are best ordered directly from us so we can make sure you get the proper type and with good commercial temperature stability and accuracy ratings. Crystals take about 3-4 weeks to make because there are many steps to the process and good crystals have to be artificially aged in temperature chambers to reduce aging drift after installation. If you have a repeater, the receiver and exciter each need different crystals. The cost is $25 per crystal. First class mail shipping in the US is $5/order for up to 4 crystals ($10 outside the U.S. Be sure to tell us the channel frequency for each crystal and the model number of the module in which it will be used. You do not have to worry about formulas and specs. We take care of all that for you if you give us the model in which it is used. We normally place a large order for crystals with the lab each week.
