This error is due to a corrupt Planner project file. In some cases, the corrupt file may be recovered by following these steps. 1) Start Planner 2) Select Start Drawing Immediately from startup screen 3) Once your blank grid appears, go to FILE > MERGE and select your corrupt file. 4) Click OK when it asks you to select new origin. It may show you “Unexpected File Format Error” but may let you retrieve the drawing. 5) Once your drawing is recovered, save the project as a different filename.
