What MUST you do: * BEFORE, * DURING, * AFTER, and * BETWEEN exposures? * Exposure to Water – If you decide to swim with your water-resistant watch, please first insure ALL of the following: BEFORE EXPOSURE: 1. The watch has been recently serviced (within the last year), to include the replacement of all gaskets (crystal, crown/case tube, caseback and pushers – if applicable), sealing and PRESSURE TESTING by the company that service it. 2. Your watch’s water-resistant rating (normally displayed on your dial &/or caseback) is at least 5 ATM or 50 meters/165 feet. This means that if the rating is 3 ATM or 30 meters, you should NOT take it in the water. 3. The type of crown or winding knob on your watch is a “screw-down” (AKA “divers”) type crown.
