…then you can try fried tofu. I tried this recipe (given to me by one of my good vegan friends), and it was wonderful. Take firm tofu and drain it in a towel or paper towels (I did this by placing the tofu in a clean dishtowel, then putting a heavy frying pan on it. I let this drain for about 45 minutes). While the tofu is draining, boil up some noodles (I used boxed pad thai noodles. My friend rolled her eyes at me for doing this, but she’s a die-hard cook. I’m a lazy one). 8) Heat up a skillet. Add a bit of olive oil (or whatever oil you like to use) and let that heat up. Slice the tofu into 1/2 inch pieces. Toss the slices in breadcrumbs (they won’t be coated well, but they’ll have enough). Add the tofu to the skillet. Fry on one side for a few minutes, then turn. You’ll want the breadcrumbs to get golden brown. Remove the tofu and keep warm. Reduce the heat on the skillet and add 2 tbs. of soy sauce, 3 tbsp. orange marmalade, a few drops of sesame oil, and 1/4 cup water. Let this
