How can I make sure my cats and dogs get along OK?
Cats and Dogs can and do get on just fine together. You shouldn’t have too many problems because your cat is a kitten and if you are having a small puppy they will grow up together and get on just fine. Just make sure that the puppy isn’t too rough with the kitten and that puppy learns the word “No” where the cat is concerned. Cats have needle sharp claws that they will use to good advantage so be careful of the puppy’s eyes. Always make sure that the cat has an escape route i.e. it can get up onto furniture or out a door or window when it has had enough of the dog.
