Stock usually has more flavor than broth, and of course, home made is better than the store. Broth is just water the chicken was simmered in, with nothing else added to the water. Stock, on the other hand, is made from chicken simmered in water with vegetables. Those vegetables are usually onions, carrots, and celery. Some people may add garlic to that stock as well. The stock is then filtered through a sieve. One method of making it taste better is to restore some of the things that were filtered out of it…for a good chicken soup, add salt & pepper to suit your taste, chopped chicken, egg noodles, carrots, celery and onion.
