The www.med.umich.edu webserver does not support Microsoft’s Internet Information Server (IIS) extensions, which are required for the more advanced features (searching, form mailing, database publishing) of Frontpage and Office 2000. Also, the MED-INFO web document server can not be accessed via Frontpage “publish” commands. However, you can create a site in Frontpage and publish it to your local drive, and then copy those files to your directory space on MED-INFO. Any IIS-specific functions like site searching and feedback forms will not work, but there are comparable workarounds for many of these functions described in Using the MCIT Webserver.
