How can I make my rabbits hutch warmer?
ok i have raised rabbits out doors for many years here in ct and the winters could be killer, heres what i do, i would go buy a bail of hay, i would completely stuff the cage wire part and box part as much as i can, from top to bottom completely stuffed, then my rabbits would make tunnels through the hay to the box part where they would rearrange the hay as they wanted to make a comfortable home and they also like to eat it and pack on some pounds for winter. the second thing i would do is get super thick plastic sheets, “a tarp would work” and wrap the entire cage with it except for the front door for feeding axcess, and i never lost a rabbit due to cold weather i have even had a couple of litters do great through the winter, altho i dont recommend breeding in the cold months, also remember to get a couple of extra water bottles to switch out through out the day if bottles are what you like to use. for the winter o would recommend getting two ceramic bowls. so you could switch them wh
