How can I make my Miniature Pinscher go to sleep?
Being a Min Pin owner, I know how hard it can be to get them to sleep. Here is a trick I learned from my Pin’s breeder, Carol. Most likely your MinPin has had some exposure to a crate, and she may even have been crate trained a little bit. It is your responsibility as his/her new parent to continue this training. MinPins in the wild slept it small dens they dug in the ground – this is why a crate is SOOO important to a min pin. If you have ever had a bird, you need to treat your MinPin in much the same way. When it is time for bed, take him/her to her crate. ALWAYS make the crate a good thing. Never send him/her there when she has been bad, otherwise s/he will get afraid of the crate. Reward with treats and other fun things when s/he goes in his/her crate. Cover the crate with a blanket, and put one on the inside too. They like to bury their head under the blanket. S/he will whine and cry for a bit, and then fall asleep. Pretty soon, when s/he gets tired, s/he will go to her crate even
