How can I make my dog less friendly with strangers and more protective?
I also had a pitbull that was meant for protecting but as far as that went he would lick strangers to death. But i found out he hated screeching sounds so outside of my fence where strangers would usu walk by i would get some sheet metal and a key and make horrible screeches that my dog hated and he would bark and would get very angry at whoever was making those sounds behing the gate. I did this for about two weeks and now when someone walks by he gets alert and if strangers make any contact with the gate he quickly starts barking at them. So try something similiar to what i did and hopefully it works…
