WIN XP/2000: • Click on Start, then Run, type in “msconfig” (without the quotes) and then click on the Startup tab. • Check the list for the programs and files that automatically start when the computer starts up. • Unchecking programs you don’t need immediately. A few files need to be started with Windows, so only uncheck programs that you’re familiar with.
