• Create the Excel file and select the range of the Excel sheet you are using • Give this range a name. This range will serve as a table in ODBC. Note: Do not forget to save the workbook. • Open Control Panel, select Administrative Tools | Datasources (ODBC) and select the System DSN tabsheet • Click the Add button and select Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls) from the drop-down list and click the Finish button. • Give the Data Source a comprehensive name. (This name will appear in the Axxium ODBC State) • Select the correct version of Excel from the drop-down list. • Click on the Select workbook button and browse to the folder where you can find your Excel workbook. • Press the OK button twice. • Open Axxium • Place an ODBC-icon on the sheet and enter the ODBC-wizard by double-clicking the newly created ODBC-icon. • Give the ODBC-state a name (i.e. the DSN you previously created). • Select the appropriate action (e.g. a lookup in the .xls file). • The named range should appear in the wiza
