How have you connect the two computers? If you are connecting them together, you need a crossover network cable (rather than the usual cable) Once the cable is plugged in to both computers, you should see a green and orange light on the actual network port where you plugged the cable in. (This will be at the back of your computer) Both these lights on indicates that the physical connection between the two computers is OK. Check all that first before you run the network wizard (I presume you are using windows XP on both machines?) Run the wizard on both computers, making sure you select the same parameters for each setup. I would do a reboot just to be sure. You need to share a folder or share a drive to be able to access it from the other computer. You may also need to check firewall settings depening on any firewall software you are using.
