How can I make a copy of a CD?
Answer The easiest way to copy a CD without a second CD player is to insert the CD to be copied and then open the Applications folder. Inside the folder, find the Utilities folder. Inside the Utilities folder, there will be Disk Utility. Double-click on it to open it. Once you open it, look in the left column toward the bottom for your CD icon. Click once on it to highlight it. Then go up to New Image icon on the left of the top row of icons and click on it. In that dialog box, enter the name of the CD to be copied in the Save As: space and then choose WHERE to save it. The easiest place is just on the root (first) level of your hard drive. Just highlight the hard drive in the left column then go down and look at the image format and Encryption selecters. It should say READ ONLY and NONE. Then click save. Once that is done, eject your original cd. Go back to the Disk Utility and click on your new disk image in the left column at the bottom.
