How can I make a computer program run automatically on startup?

If when you install the program you are not provided with a choice to have this program start up with Windows, try this: Right click on your Start button and select ‘Explore All Users’. Windows Explorer will open with the folder containing the ‘Start Menu > Programs’ for ‘all users’ already expanded. Expand this ‘Programs’ folder and note the ‘Startup’ folder. Navigate to the folder that contains the program you want to use and right drag it to this ‘Startup’ folder. When you right drag something, as soon as you let go the right button, you will be presented with a menu. Choose ‘create shortcut here’. That’s it. When you restart your computer, the shortcut representing the program you created in that Startup folder will run when Windows starts. All of this assumes you want the program to run when every user logs in. If you only want to run it when you log in, instead of choosing the ‘all users’ folder, choose the folder named with your login name. It has a Start Menu folder too.
