How can I make a ball jointed doll with Sculpey clay?
Ball jointed dolls are very complex and can’t just be made simply with clay in my opinion. It requires knowledge of string tension, joints, anatomy, and overall craftsmanship. It may seem cheaper to make your own, but in reality it is probably cheaper to buy one. The parts to make one could easily add up to the cost of buying one already pre-made by an expert. Ball jointed dolls are appreciated because of their closeness to human an their uniqueness of their structure. So I really advise to buy the body and head then customize it from there instead of making one. Maybe when you become very familiar with the doll you can make one yourself.
