You’ll want to raise your credit score, not lower it. But, if they are saying that you have no credit, that’s wrong. If you have 2 credit cards, you have credit and you definately have a credit score. So some clarification about what they mean would be helpful – is it no credit, no credit score, low credit score or something else. There is no quick fix for a low credit score (if that is what you have). Make sure that you are ALWAYS on time with your payments, keep paying off the cards as much as possible, etc. You might want to check out one of the credit bureaus (TransUnion, Experian and Equifax) and get your free credit report (if you haven’t requested one in the last year. Go directly to their websites, rather than going to someplace like FreeCreditReport.com – most of these websites charge a fee for enrolling you in some type of credit protection. All 3 credit bureaus will give you the option of obtaining your FICO (credit score) – generally these have a small fee (less than $10).
