How Can I Learn The 24 Forms, 10 Forms, or Tai Chi for Beginners?
I teach these Tai Chi forms at Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) as part of their Group Fitness program (www.kckcc.edu/student-life/wellness-center/). The 10 Forms or Tai Chi for Beginners is offered twice in a typical semester in eight-week sessions and the Yang 24 Forms (alternated with Sun 39 Forms / TCA) is offered in either the Spring or Fall Semesters. Class sessions begin with sitting or standing Qigong, a warm up, and Tai Chi walking to incorporate and practice the basic Tai Chi principles that are used throughout all Tai Chi styles. These principles can be applied in our daily lives to aid in our relaxation, postural alignment, movement, and balance. In each class session, you will learn or practice one to two new movement forms. The Home Gym will teach the Yang 24 Forms, Tai Chi for Beginners, or 10 Forms Tai Chi program to your group or organization.
