How can i LAN two computers to share information, using ethernet cable?
Connect your lan.And follow the steps 1.first u want to change your computers ip adress go control panel and open network connections and open the properties of your lan connection.In the first tag u can see internet protocol select it and click the properties button. Now u can see a box in the general tag clikc on “use the following ip adress” and type the adress In your first computer type”192.468.100.10 In your second computer type “192.168.100.11 in your third computer type”192.168.100.12 ect.. Follow the steps and gave ip adress to all computer… 2.Open My network Places and click “View workgroup computer” Now u cann see your computers name which connected to lan. 3.If u wants to share a file right clikc on a folder and select sharing and security and click the box share this folder…. any doubt sanas_999@yahoo.co.in GOOD LUCK!!!
You will need a network hub or router to do this, if you have one, simply connect the two computers to the hub/router using an ethernet cable. If you have Windows XP, you can run the Home network setup wizard (from the control panel), make sure that both computers are on the same domain, check this by going to Start – control panel – system – computer name.
