How can I keep TechTool Pro 3 from automatically writing Protection Files when I launch the program?

TechTool Pro 3 version 3.0.4 and below may automatically write Protection Files for all drives on launch. If you hold down the “Option” key when you launch TechTool Pro 3, no Protection Files will be written. You can disable this feature in the Preferences portion of the TechTool Pro 3 application.
