How can I install WinGPS Pro and DKW charts from the CD-ROM?
• First remove earlier versions and demo versions via Start/Settings/Control Panel/Software. Don’t forget to make a backup of your database (standard under c:\program files\wingps pro\gps.mdb) if you want to keep routes and waypoints. • Insert the WinGPS Pro/DKW 1800 cd-rom in the drive. An installation screen starts automatically. Follow the instructions from top to bottom. • First install WinGPS 3.2 Pro in e.g. English language. Standard, WinGPS Pro is put in the directory c:\Program Files\WinGPS Pro. • Start WinGPS Pro and enter your name and registration number. The top bar now says WinGPS Pro 3.2 instead of Evaluation Version. • Start up the CD again and select Enter License Codes. Enter your DKW1800 licence code(s). • Now select Install charts. Standard, both the 120 and the 240 dpi charts are installed. For Pentium II or faster the 240dpi with high accuracy is appropriate. For Pentium 200 MHz with 32 Mb memory or less, the 120 dpi is recommended. In that case you can switch off
