How can I improve towing performance on my Truck? Looking for better gas mileage and power/acceleration.?
An air intake and headers will increase the overall performance but if you are serious about increasing your towing ability and acceleration (torque) then you might be better off with fitting your gearbox with more acceleration-oriented gear sets. However, this may or may not improve gas mileage at it will not benefit you at higher speeds. This is just one option to increase towing capacity, but for the kind of money you are talking about you might have already found the best deal.
