How can I improve the quality (choppiness or delay) when viewing live streams on the client software?
A significant delay between the live video and the network transmitted video may be caused by either a low network bandwidth or by low CPU resources on the user’s PC. You may be viewing too many channels or viewing video at a bit rate too high for your network bandwidth. To improve the video, try the following: 1. Increase the network bandwidth 2. Decrease the number of displayed cameras 3. Define a sub-stream with a lower bit rate for network web viewing and choose to view the sub-stream in the Web Client. This is a dedicated stream for viewing, and does not affect the bitrate of recorded video. 4. If you do not want to use a sub-stream, reduce the bitrate of the main stream (recorded video), by reducing the resolution or framerate. I cannot access the Web client properly. An installation does not complete properly. The first time you access the Web client, a file must be downloaded to your computer.
